Our Hearing Professionals
Alan Dumaine has provided audiology services in the community for over 30 years. Majoring in Audiology at Michigan State University, he graduated in 1977 and then earned his Master's degree in Audiology from the University of Connecticut in 1981. After serving his Clinical Fellowship Year at the San Francisco Hearing and Speech Center, Alan was a staff audiologist at the Hampden Hearing Center in West Springfield, Massachusetts from 1982-83 before initiating his private practice, the Wethersfield Hearing Center, in January 1984. He merged his practice with the Hearing Improvement Center of West Hartford in 1997. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Audiology and member of the Connecticut Academy of Audiology.
Caren Barone attended Southern Connecticut State University, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Communications Disorders in 2003 and her Master's degree in Audiology in 2005. After completing her Clinical Fellowship Year at Park Avenue Acoustics in Manhattan in 2006, she served as a staff audiologist at the Newington, West Haven and Northampton VA Medical Centers from 2006-2012. During that time Caren also earned her clinical Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida in 2008. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Mary-Ann manages the Wethersfield office and has 24 years of experience in accounting and business operations. She is a Wethersfield native, and we all enjoy the light from her amiable disposition.
